Advocate Qualifications
- Must be 13-18 years old
- Must have some musical experience
- Must have parental consent
- Must fill out the form with correct information and error free writing

- Fill out the advocacy form we will send after signing up
Becoming an advovate for Music Education Matters
Sign up form
Once you fill out the sign up form we will create your profile on our site. Once your profile is set up you will receive a confirmation email with resources on how to advocate and a form to log advocacy hours.
Advocacy form
After your page is set up we will send you an advocacy form where you will record all of the advocacy you do. Please fill out the personal information at the top and start advocating!
Advocate
Once you have filled out the required information on the advocacy form, you are ready to start advocating! Record your advocacy on the form and receive prizes and recognition for the hours logged.

Once we create your profile on our website and you fill out the personal information on the advocacy form, we do not require that you log hours. However, we highly encourage it!
Upper-hand in college admissions
Colleges want to see that you are a leader in your community. By signing up to become an advocate, you actively demonstrate that you are capable of being a leader and are not afraid to speak up for social causes.

Music education is important because it propels me to improve my instrument so I can serve my community with music. Music education also shapes my musical ideas and technique so I can assist my peers with limited access to private lessons, school band/orchestra/choir, etc. Music has improved my life in multiple ways through the awards, friends, and teaching I’ve received, and without music education, there wouldn’t be any of that. While most think of music as just playing an instrument, music education covers more topics, like history, composition, theory, conducting, art, science, math, and countless more. Music education is just as necessary as STEM and humanities classes and can change the world.
